Akshay Kumar seems to have a Midas touch. After delivering back-to-back hits in 2018 – R Balki’s Pad Man, Reema Kagti’s Gold and Shankar’s 2.0 – he opened 2019 with a bang as well.
Kesari, Akshay’s first release this year, has earned around Rs 25 crore on its first day, according to early estimates. The historical drama has not only managed to bowl the critics over but is also drawing the audience to the theatres in large numbers.
Kesari witnessed a bumper opening in all 4,200 screens across the world. It is running to packed theatres in 3,600 screens across the country.
