National Public Engagement H-1B Filing Tips and Understanding Requests for Evidence (RFEs)

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invites you to participate in a teleconference on Thursday, March 7, from 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern to discuss H-1B nonimmigrant petitions. During the first part of this engagement, subject matter experts from USCIS will give helpful filing tips and provide a better understanding of why RFEs may be issued for H-1B petitions. The second part will be a listening session where you will have the opportunity to provide feedback to USCIS.

Please follow the steps below to register for this session by Monday, March 4, 2019, at 5 p.m. Eastern:

  • Visit our registration page to confirm your participation
  • Enter your email address and select “Submit”
  • Select “Subscriber Preferences”
  • Select the “Event Registration” tab
  • Provide your full name and organization
  • Complete the questions and select “Submit”

Once we process your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details.

We recommend calling in 10 to 15 minutes before the teleconference begins.

We encourage you to submit questions in advance by emailing public.engagement@uscis.dhs.gov by Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at 5 p.m. Eastern. Put “H-1B Engagement” in the subject line. USCIS subject matter experts may not be able to respond to all of the pre-submitted questions or comments during the call. USCIS subject matter experts will listen to the feedback provided during the listening session, but will not respond to that feedback at that time.

If you have any questions regarding the registration process, or if you have not received a confirmation email within two business days, please write to the email address above.

Note to Media: This engagement is not for press purposes. Please contact the USCIS Press Office at 202-272-1200 for any media inquiries.
